West Ham United have allegedly rejected two bids for exciting young left-back Emmanuel Longelo already this summer.
That’s according to a report from The Athletic who claims that the Hammers have knocked back two bids from London club Queens Park Rangers for the 21-year-old defender.
The 21-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his current deal at the London Stadium. So the fact that two bids have been rejected for his services prove that David Moyes has plans to integrate Manny into the first-team at some point.
Getting him signed up on a new contract will now be very important.
West Ham have rejected two Emmanuel Longelo bids
According to a report from The Athletic, the Hammers have knocked back a couple of offers from QPR for the London-born ace.
So it seems as though the 21-year-old could be set to stay at the London Stadium.
And I think that’s 100% the correct decision.
Longelo is a really special young talent and could go on to achieve anything in the game, if he continues to work hard and applies himself properly of course.
The 21-year-old was absolutely brilliant for the Hammers under-23s last season. He was one of the standout performers in fact.
The West Ham youngster bagged one goal and five assists in 18 Premier League 2 games for the U-23s (Transfermarkt) – not bad numbers for a left-back!
Longelo is incredibly dynamic, is absolutely rapid and is a very solid defender. He’s pretty good going forward as well.
The 21-year-old showcased his talent for the senior side during our Europa League clash with Dinamo Zagreb back in December and was arguably the best player on the pitch.
So it’s easy to see why West Ham have rejected two bids for the young left-back.
Let’s hope that Longelo goes on to enjoy and long and successful career at the London Stadium.
