West Ham United will reportedly have to pay £12 million if we want to sign Nick Pope from Burnley in the summer.

That’s according to a report from The Times who claims that Hammers boss David Moyes wants to bring the 30-year-old goalkeeper to the London Stadium from Turf Moor.

Lukasz Fabianski probably has one more season left in him whilst it remains unclear as to whether West Ham will sign Alphonse Areola on a permanent deal at the end of season.

Meanwhile, it would be no surprise to see Darren Randolph leave the Hammers in the summer transfer window.

And it seems as though David Moyes has his eyes on one of the best performing goalkeepers in the Premier League this season…

West Ham told what to pay for Nick Pope

The Times reckon that the 6ft 3in goalkeeper is firmly on the Hammers’ radar ahead of the summer transfer window.

Now, my preference would be for Moyes to sign Areola in the summer.

If the Hammers don’t sign the Frenchman though, Pope wouldn’t be a bad alternative at all.

The 30-year-old is a fantastic shot-stopper. The West Ham fans will know all about that having seen him put in a man-of-the-match display at the London Stadium on Sunday.

Pope is commanding in the air and is a fantastic communicator.

The Burnley ace isn’t the best with the ball at his feet but that doesn’t matter too much considering how Moyes likes his team to get the ball up the pitch quickly.

£12 million for Pope sounds like fantastic value to us.

And Moyes could do a lot worse than signing Nick Pope this summer, that’s for sure.
