Fiorentina CEO confirms Tottenham target Sofyan Amrabat is not for sale

Speaking in an interview with Dazn as quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Fiorentina CEO Joe Barone has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur target Sofyan Amrabat is not for sale.

Tottenham have been linked with a move for the impressive Moroccan midfielder ever since the conclusion of the Qatar World Cup 2022. Amrabat was a name that really made head turns at the tournament.

The Moroccan midfielder was the definition of consistency and some of his displays were simply astounding. He was bound to be linked with a move to top clubs and Tottenham were one of the first ones.

It is easy to see why Amrabat is linked with a move to N17. After all, he seems like the perfect Antonio Conte midfielder. He is industrious in his play and also good on the ball and works incredibly well in a defensive sense.

Along with Azzedine Ounahi, Amrabat ran the show in the Moroccan midfield in the African nation’s unlikely semi-final run in the World Cup where they lost to eventual runners-up France.

Speaking about the future of Amrabat, here is what the CEO of Fiorentina had to say about the future of the Moroccan.

It is understandable that the Serie A club do not really want to negotiate a move in January for their player. Most clubs are not for sanctioning winter moves to their players as it makes finding a replacement all that harder.

However, there is absolutely no doubt that Amrabat’s future will take an interesting turn in the summer. He is likely to move to a top club and it remains to be seen if Tottenham are still interested in the player.
