West Ham United are eyeing up a potential move to sign Liverpool centre-back Nat Phillips in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from football journalist Dean Jones who claims that Hammers boss David Moyes has had a long-standing interest in the 25-year-old Liverpool defender.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp allegedly wants to sell Phillips in the January transfer window (Calciomercato).

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is allegedly prepared to sell him for around £12 million (The Mirror).
Signing him for that kind of fee may well be a no-brainer for Moyes, especially considering the fact that Craig Dawson could well be on his way in January…
West Ham eyeing move for Liverpool ace Nat Phillips in January
Football journalist Dean Jones has told Give me Sport that the 25-year-old Liverpool defender is certainly on the Hammers radar ahead of the January transfer window:
The strongest interest I guess you could say would be West Ham and Nat Phillips. They’ve had a keen eye on him, they’ve had good reports on him and they considered going for him strongly in the summer window. So I can see that one coming around again.
I would love to see Moyes bring the Liverpool defender to the London Stadium from Anfield.
£12 million seems like outstanding value to us for someone with Phillips’ quality. He has absolutely everything that West Ham are looking for.
The 25-year-old is incredibly strong in the air – he proved that last season during both games against us. He’s tenacious in the tackle, a great reader of the game and plays with commitment, passion and desire.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp recently described Phillips as ‘unbelievable’ (Liverpool Echo). Meanwhile, Rio Ferdinand raved about his display for the Reds at the San Siro last season, labelling Phillips as ‘beautiful’ and ‘Baresi like’ (Daily Mail).
The fact that Phillips has received that kind of praise proves just how much talent he has and how highly regarded he is in the game.
If West Ham manage to prise Nat Phillips away from Liverpool for around £12 million in the January transfer window, it would be a really solid piece of business from the East London outfit in my opinion.
