West Ham United are attempting to sign AS Roma attacking midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo in the January transfer window.
That’s according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport who claim that the Hammers want the 23-year-old on loan with an obligation to buy him for €30 million (£26 million) in the summer.
Zaniolo is a top-class player and would be a sensational addition for West Ham. It seems as though Moyes is very keen to bring him to East London…
West Ham readying Zaniolo offer
Gazzetta dello Sport claim that the Hammers are lining up a loan with a £26 million obligation to buy bid for the 23-year-old AS Roma star.
Italy boss Roberto Mancini once described the 23-year-old as an ‘extraordinary’ player (Goal).
Zaniolo is big and powerful and standing at 6ft 3in tall, he seems to be perfectly built for the Premier League.
The Roma attacker can play in a variety of positions including the number 10 role and on both wings, and he has a proven track record of producing the goods at the very highest level for a sustained period of time.
£26 million would represent unbelievable business for the Hammers.
And with Gazzetta dello Sport claiming that Roma are very keen to sell him so as not to risk losing him for nothing in the summer of 2024, he could very well be a realistic target for us.
If Moyes brings Zaniolo to West Ham, it would be a sensational signing for the club.
