Moyes urges caution but gives deadline day West Ham transfer hope

It looked increasingly like Moyes was going to go with what he has for the remainder of the season.

Asked about any potential incomings ahead of Tuesday’s 11pm deadline, Moyes gave West Ham fans some much-needed hope.

“Maybe (we will make signings) but I couldn’t be sure though,” Moyes said after the game (Football.London).

“I don’t want to get anyone too excited by that.

“(But) there’s a chance…

“I think (what) we’ve got is a couple of injuries. If (the injured players) were fit and firing, we wouldn’t need anyone.”

Earlier today Hammers News called on West Ham to make signings before the window closes or risk dicing with disaster.

There is a feeling that Moyes and the club are fiddling while Rome burns.

Shelling out vast sums of money is not always the answer of course. Indeed it is nearly always how you spend rather than what you spend.

But West Ham must try everything to add at a defender and another attacking player if they can before the window slams shut.
