Hammers boss David Moyes has urged caution but given deadline day West Ham transfer hope after the FA Cup win at Derby.
West Ham fans have been watching on with extreme frustration as their relegation rivals get some impressive deals done in the January window.
The Hammers have brought in 30-year-old Danny Ings as a panic buy and he was duly injured less than 24 hours after being unveiled.
West Ham’s direct relegation rivals have spent over £250m and counting as they throw everything at the battle for survival.

It looked increasingly like Moyes was going to go with what he has for the remainder of the season.
Many feel that is a huge risk given what is at stake.
But in the words of our recently passed co-owner David Gold – ‘Don’t go to bed’ – at least not too early tomorrow.
Because Moyes has urged caution but given deadline day West Ham transfer hope after the FA Cup win at Derby.
Goals from Jarrod Bowen and Michail Antonio saw safe passage through to the fifth round where West Ham will face Man United away – who else.
Asked about any potential incomings ahead of Tuesday’s 11pm deadline, Moyes gave West Ham fans some much-needed hope.
“Maybe (we will make signings) but I couldn’t be sure though,” Moyes said after the game (Football.London).
“I don’t want to get anyone too excited by that.

“(But) there’s a chance…
“I think (what) we’ve got is a couple of injuries. If (the injured players) were fit and firing, we wouldn’t need anyone.”
Earlier today Hammers News called on West Ham to make signings before the window closes or risk dicing with disaster.
There is a feeling that Moyes and the club are fiddling while Rome burns.
Shelling out vast sums of money is not always the answer of course. Indeed it is nearly always how you spend rather than what you spend.
But West Ham must try everything to add at a defender and another attacking player if they can before the window slams shut.
