Man United target, Mykhaylo Mudryk, has admitted he’d be upset if he doesn’t get a January transfer.

Just earlier today, we covered a claim from The Sun, who suggested that United were weighing up a move to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk from Shakhtar Donetsk.

The Red Devils are ready to rival Arsenal for the signature of the emerging Ukrainian, who is in top form this season.

There’s no doubt that United still need another winger for depth, while Mudryk can also play through the middle if required.

Erik ten Hag has shown a preference for gravitating towards younger players who fit his system. Mudryk absolutely falls into that bracket.

Now, we’ve heard some information from the player’s camp. Apparently, the reported Reds transfer target has revealed he’d be ‘upset’ if he doesn’t get a January transfer away from Shakhtar.

On top of that, the player has admitted that he’d also consider play style as part of his decision, while working out what role he’d get at the potential winner of his signature before sealing a transfer.

Check out what Mudryk had to say in full here:

“It’s not about the badge or the history. The team’s style of play will play a role in my decision, it’s very important”. Mudryk is quoted as saying by journalist Vlada Sedan, per Fabrizio Romano.

“Yes, I’d be upset if I don’t get a move in the winter”. Mudryk added.

The 21-year-old plays an exciting brand of football. He plays with no fear. Loves to attack and works hard. There’s no doubt that he’d help press from the front, as Ten Hag continues to mould this squad into one that fits his image.

However, I’m not sure I see Mudryk as an attainable January transfer target. The winger will likely remain in Donetsk until next summer at least, with his club not wanting to part with a prized asset in the mid-season window. That’s only natural.

You’d also imagine the eventual winner of Mudryk’s signature will have Champions League football on the table. United simply have to finish inside the top four if they’re to have any shot at pulling off this signing.

Do you think a Man United move for Mykhaylo Mudryk would make sense? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below.
