Jadon Sancho is set for a return to Man United training this week.
Manchester United Football Club have been playing well lately. Despite the fact this squad is still thin on the ground in some key areas.
In the final third, United aren’t blessed with massive strength in depth. It’s why Antony was signed over the summer and Wout Weghorst was brought in earlier this month.
One man who could help ease those issues is Jadon Sancho. The Englishman is currently away from the first-team fold as he deals with some off-field issues. We’d like to send our best to the wide man.
According to United insider, The Muppetiers (via YouTube), the 22-year-old is very close to returning to training. He’s expected to make that step at some point this week.
Sancho hasn’t played post-World Cup, though to hear that he’s now closing in on a return of some kind is huge news.
It’s easy to forget how talented the Englishman is. He was one of the best players over in Germany. Now, it’s down to Erik ten Hag and his coaching staff to get that good form out of him here in Manchester.
His absence seems like a delicate situation, though you cannot fault Sancho’s attitude. He’s showed a willingness to work through those tough times, training with coaches recommended by Ten Hag himself.
The important news is that neither United nor Sancho want this relationship to end. Both are working towards a positive overall outcome for the winger here in Manchester – and I can’t wait to see that happen.
When he does return to training, it’ll probably take the Englishman at least a couple of weeks to get up to speed before he’s brought back into the matchday squad, so patience is still key.
