Former Hammer Ian Wright launched into an angry rant about West Ham star Jarrod Bowen after his brace against Man City and he’s spot on.
Bowen lit up the London Stadium with two breathtakingly well-taken goals to put West Ham 2-0 up against Manchester City.
West Ham were pegged back by title-chasing City in the second half.
But Bowen twice went agonisingly close to a hat-trick as he stole the show in what was a fitting farewell to Mr West Ham, Mark Noble.
Noble has ended his 18-year West Ham career without a single England cap.
And West Ham fans have been quick to point out what they feel is the same old double standards from Gareth Southgate as a result of his failure to reward Bowen with an England call.
Bowen was ignored for England’s October and November internationals.
And Southgate did not confirm whether West Ham’s top scorer would have been called up in March after picking up an injury.
After his latest superb display, Bowen has been making the headlines again.
And Ian Wright has launched into an angry rant about West Ham star Bowen after his brace against Man City.

Wright took to Twitter to make it clear Southgate simply must put Bowen in the England squad… using a brilliant GIF of angry EastEnders hard man Phil Mitchell to make his point.
“If Bowen doesn’t get an England call up after the season he’s had,” Wright posted on Twitter alongside angry emojis, an England flag an a GIF of Mitchell ready to get lively.
This is brilliant from Wright.
Southgate started off his England tenure saying he would call-up players on form not status or the club they play for.
But he has continually contradicted himself with his failure to call up West Ham star Bowen a prime example.
Bowen now has 18 goals and 11 assists for West Ham this season. And he works tirelessly for the team too.
An absolute gem of a player who deserves to be involved in the England squad as attentions turn to the Qatar World Cup this winter.
