Harry Kane reveals happiness for Tottenham Hotspur youngster Bryan Gil
Gil played arguably his best game in a Tottenham shirt against Crystal Palace in their 4-0 win. He received a lot of plaudits for his performance on that particular night and Kane made no exception.
The Spanish youngster has had a rough time adapting to England. He came to Hotspur Way as one of the most highly-rated young stars from Spain but quickly found that he did not have the physical level for the Premier League.
He was subsequently loaned out to Valencia for the second half of last campaign and that is where it looked like he would play this season as well before Antonio Conte blocked a last-minute move.
It looked like a horrendous call for the young Spaniard as he hardly featured for much of the first half of this campaign. No one was doubting Gil’s talent but it just seemed like Conte did not trust him.
However, the World Cup break has completely changed things for Bryan Gil. Antonio Conte has gotten an extended period to work on him and he has made the talented young winger Premier League-ready.
Here is what Kane had to say about the performance that the young Spurs man put in and he was very happy for him.
“Yeah, I’m really happy for Bryan. He’s waited patiently for his chance, worked really hard on the training pitch. You’ve just got to the ready. I said to everyone, young or old, just be ready for your opportunity and Bryan was there today”
One thing looks certain. Bryan is going to get much more game time from here on. Even if Dejan Kulusevski returns, the former Sevilla winger can have an impact from the bench and help Spurs.

If Bryan can continue his development in a similar manner and put in performances like the one against Crystal Palace, he can be a huge player for Tottenham – for the present, and the future.
