Before Arsenal’s match against Chelsea on Sunday, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang had been part of the pre-game BT Sport promotion of the fixture.

As part of that promotion, Aubameyang said “nothing personal” to the camera, before adding “I’m back, I’m blue, I’m ready”.

In the end, Arsenal came out on top in the derby, with Gabriel Magalhaes scoring the winning goal for the Gunners.

After the match, Gabriel posted “nothing personal .. London is red” on his Twitter page.

The tweet was a clear reference to Aubameyang’s pre-match comment, and it will certainly have endeared the centre-back to the Arsenal supporters.

Whilst Aubameyang cancelled his contract to join Barcelona and then Chelsea this year, Gabriel extended his deal with the Gunners to 2027.
